Underoath
The American Seige Tour 2008-Tempe, AZ
By Richelle Charlie
It was a Wednesday night, no one could care less if it was a school night or if you had to work tomorrow morning. Underoath was in town. Their first headline tour since their new album debuted in September "Lost in the Sound Of Separation". Joining them on the road, the tour is completed by sharing the stage with; Saosin, The Devil Wears Prada, and The Famine.
Fans hold tickets in their hands while waiting patiently with excitement. The line gets longer while the time increases. Front row is only what matters to some, while others head towards the merch table before selling out.
Intro video, lights dim, drum roll is rolling, crowd screaming the top of their lungs and ready, set, go. Performing their new song, "Breathing in a New Mentality", Underoath sets it off on fire.
Spencer Chamberlain was quite amazed how the crowd reacted, despite, quoting "this must be the most fun show off tour".
Hearing the first string riff to "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door", the crowd goes nuts, forming mosh pits, crowd surfers surf, and whole crowd jumps. This song is what makes Underoath. Officially, fans should know this from front to back!
"One more song, one more song..." the crowd chants while the melody of instruments stuck by tuning in "To Bright To See, To Loud To Hear".
Given them a bonus, another song won't be no harm by transforming to "Writing On the Walls". The show was worth the bucks. Having Underoath passing through will keep fans talking for weeks.
