Chris Daughtry :: Daughtry
CD Review
By The Atomic Chaser
Chris Daughtry starts his first post-American Idol disc with a song whose title reviewers coast to coast will be grateful for: "It's Not Over." What an understatement. It's a compilation of sheer brilliance with songs rich with emotion, drawing you in, traveling to your soul and wrapping you up in a cocoon that is nothing but raw, pure, unadulterated passion. This is an album that you can put on and jam out to every cut on the disk. Chris infuses so much of himself in each song that it's hard to pick a favorite track. For a debut release this really impressed me. It has the power ballads that will tug at your heartstrings like "Home" and "What About Now". As well as, guitar driven anthems like "What I Want" featuring Slash and "There and Back Again". The music, the vocals, the style is all there. And there's enough of a mix of different styles to appeal to just about everyone. Chris Daughtry can rock with the best of them there is no doubt about it! I'm truly impressed and happy for Chris and can't wait to see what is coming next. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on this winner. It would make a great stocking stuffer for fans. Congratulations Chris, you did well my friend! It was worth the wait! There is no doubt that Chris Daughtry is going to be around for a long time.
