Singer/songwriter Melissa Chester has mastered the right ingredients and has the perfect recipe for making “Honeybee,” her new CD, a super success! She’s a great songwriter, creates great music, and spices things up a bit with great vocals. Her soft yet poppy sound is one you will really enjoy listening to.
“Honeybee,” produced by Lance Seiders, reminds me of my Carole King days, and the songs are all from the heart. The lyrics are clear and understandable, somewhat of a rarity these days. The mixture of guitar, drums, and bass is perfect and doesn’t drown out the vocals.
The song “Crazy” got my attention right from the start. I can tell there’s a really story here somewhere…. In “Blood,” again the lyrics build, as does the music. You’ll love this one! It’s perfect material for you producers out there looking for background music for a movie.
After the buildup comes Melissa’s softer side with an acoustic guitar, or in the song “Strong and Able,” just a piano. This is a chance for you to really hear the voice behind the music. Melissa is a strong singer/songwriter who draws you right in with “Honeybee.”
